It's almost our birthday

HTK’s online shop is technically turning 4 on 20th October, but as this year has been a write off up until now, it feels futile to mark the occasion as I usually do — or more so, it just feels wrong to claim it as my fourth year in business. So instead we’ll call it year 3 take 2 *record scratches* can I get a reeeewind etc etc. or maybe 3.3 as it’s three years (plus only 3 months open so far this year). The name isn’t relevant and the marking of the moment is of no significance to anyone or anything but me. But there were times earlier this year where I wasn’t sure I’d be able to return to business at all in 2022.

This year has taken more work and determination and frustration to get to this point than most people will ever be able to comprehend. It’s been a year of acceptance and surrendering to things beyond my control, holding hope in my heart and harnessing the quiet power of everything that 𝙞𝙨 in my control. It has been a monotonous cycle of taking endless tiny steps forwards, and being catapulted backwards and held down suffocating below the surface. It has been treading water, drifting between the need for powerful strokes or complete stillness to stay afloat as the tides changed around me. Basically, it’s been a lot, huns.

So we’ll do something to mark the occasion. It won’t be a huge sale as cost of ingredients (and everything else) are rapidly rising. But we’ll do something. A little giveaway perhaps? A little something something 💛
